Mistakenly, I thought we were getting veggie sushi rolls, but they were regular fried rolls (like an egg roll). I was also impressed how they cooked the vegetable rolls. I added masago, seaweed salad, ginger miso, and wasabi mayo. Now, the best part about our order was the Spicy Tuna Kimchee Bowl. It’s one of those drinks you expect it to taste a certain way, but each time you sip, you're surprised (in a good way). My husband tried the Thai Iced Tea which looks like Chai. I kid you not: their recipe ought to be in a safe because I would drive the distance just for this drink. It was very impressive that we were able to order directly in our google search, too! I've never seen that as an option before, so major kudos! Other restaurants need to take note.įirst things first, the Dragonfruit Lemonade was SO good! Thankfully we bought rice, gyoza, and edamame from a different sushi place just in case the Koya meal wasn’t enough food. It really was not worth $150 and definitely not enough for two people. Honestly we just were not impressed and threw away almost half of the meal. It would’ve tasted better if it had been warm i believe, but again we didn’t know if it should have been reheated or not because there was no information about what we were eating. The rest of it we really had no idea what we were eating and it was not exactly fun taking a bite of a mysterious meat, beans, vegetables etc. The raw tuna was really good and buttery. When we ordered the takeout it really gave no explanation either so we just hoped for the best. I expected maybe a menu or an explanation for what each item was but we blindly ate it not knowing what was in the box. The presentation is nice but we also had no idea what we were eating. For starters, we didn’t receive chopsticks or any utensils which was a bummer. It was $150 for two small boxes and we sadly weren’t very impressed. We picked up Koyas takeout box for two last night for our New Years Eve dinner.
